Hearts of Hope
People have been decorating the windows of their houses, trailers, or apartments with hearts to show all the people who are working that we love and appreciate them.
1. You will need tape, paper, and scissors. If you don’t have scissors, you can tear the paper instead. Paper can be old papers you have that you don’t need anymore, newspaper, or lined paper.
2. Fold the pieces of paper in half and draw half of a heart on the fold then cut or tear along the line.
3. Cut or tear many hearts. The hearts can be all different sizes and colors. You can draw or color on them if you want.
4. Tape your hearts on the inside of the window (in case it rains) to encourage everyone in your neighborhood. You may see your neighbors add hearts to their windows, too!
5. (Optional) Take a picture to show your art teacher. Don’t forget your name, school, and grade.
