Week 9: November 16-20
Pattern/Zentangle Turkey:
Thanksgiving is almost here. This is the time we usually think of things we are thankful for. This is also traditionally a time when we think about turkeys......
This week we want you to create a turkey with as many different patterns and designs as possible (try to have at least 6 patterns/designs). Your turkey may start out as simple as a hand tracing, or with basic shapes, or with a more complicated free-draw sketch. It is up to you how you would like to draw your turkey; just be sure to be creative, have fun, and fill it with lots of patterns/designs. When you are finished drawing, you may color or paint your turkey. You may want to draw a background. Maybe you would even like to include things you are thankful for within your patterns/designs or in the background.
A pattern is something that repeats. (In art we use a lot of line and shape patterns.)
A zentangle is a relaxed way of filling a small space with patterns and designs that fit together.
Have FUN, be CREATIVE, and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
